As of this past January, 4. 9 percent of home
mortgages were in some stage of delinquency,
the lowest level for any January since 2007,
CoreLogic reported. The share of mortgages in
some state of the foreclosure process was back
to the pre-crisis level, the company said.

As home prices rose rapidly in hot housing
markets, more affordable markets saw large
increases in net migration in 2017, U.S. Census
Bureau data indicates. In the five counties with
the largest net migration gains in population
last year, the median home prices ranged from
$197,000 in Hillsborough County (county seat of
St. Petersburg, Florida) to $360,000 in Riverside
County near Los Angeles, an analysis by Attom
Data Solutions concluded.
